Root canals

Root canals are small cavities in the tooth through which the neurovascular bundle leads, i.e. the nutrition and sensitivity. The root canals are in average of the size of 0,05 to 0,1 mm, which is approximately the size of the full stop behind this sentence.

If an infection gets inside of the canals, the tooth starts to ache. The root canals lead into the heart of the bone where an inflammation occurs, if the infection is not treated.

It is not possible to treat the root canals properly without direct look into the inside of the tooth and the right enlargement.

Each tooth is different and so are their inner structures. You can see the complexity of the root canals system in the attached picture.
